On 16th September, 1915, the 11th Royal Fusiliers battalion of 54 Brigade, 18th Division moved into the front line near Fricourt on the Somme where they remained until 25th September. John Collins died from wounds on 22nd September and is buried in a nearby cemetery, but it is not known when he was wounded. |
